Abstract

Cutting fluids, oils, and coolant are well-known causes of occupational skin diseases. The mission of cutting fluids, their major types, and the cutaneous disorders related with their use are discussed. The relevance and the clinical manifestations of irritant and allergic contact dermatitis secondary to metal working fluids are reviewed.
