Abstract

This paper describes how ICT can be put to use in the teaching/learning of the diatopic variation of Spanish in the course “Introducción a la lengua española”. Linguistic atlases, online corpora, dictionaries and grammars have become an essential part of the resources used in the Spanish language classroom. Applying these technologies has greatly enhanced learning outcomes by allowing the student to guide his/her own learning process.
