Abstract

Epigonus denticulatus feeds on crustaceans (represented by 6 different groups) and on bony fishes (mainly Cyclothone braueri) in almost equal proportions. Its diet shows considerable variation throughout the year as well as according to size. The annual coefficient of repletion is 67.6%. It is at its lowest in winter, coinciding with the breeding season, and decreases as size increases. -from Author
