Abstract

The nonlinear dynamic behavior of a laser pumped by means of linearly polarized coherent field, is studied theoretically. The pump field polarization is rotated at a constant angular velocity and the laser field polarization is either fixed by the cavity or is free, resulting in completely different dynamic behavior for each case. Rich amplitude dynamics are found in fixed laser field polarization, while in free (isotropic cavity), the pump field vector rotation is transferred to the laser field vector.
