Abstract

The photoreactions of nitrophenyl ethers with simple primary and secondary amines show a remarkable nucleophile influence on the reaction orientation. Calculations indicate a change from charge controlled to frontier orbital controlled reactions moving from smaller to larger amines. © 1984.
