Abstract
The number of migrant associations accessing local official development aid tripled from 1999 to 2008 in Catalonia. Also, the number of municipalities providing financial support to migrant-led development projects duplicated during the same period. This study analyses the phenomenon and identifies the characteristics of the municipalities providing the support and the migrant collectives and countries most benefited by them.
