Abstract

A study on measuring nonequilibrium temperature of forced oscillators was presented. The meaning of temperature was considered in nonequilibrium thermodynamics by using a forced harmonic oscillator in heat bath with two effective temperatures. A model of a thermometer was proposed to testify the validity of these different temperatures. It was found that measured temperature depends on a specific form of interaction between the system and a thermometer.
