Abstract
Literature on skilled migration has mainly focused on a) brain drain from less developed countries to those with higher lever of welfare, and b) career movements within transnational labor markets. This article is based on a group of Spanish employers and high-tech professionals in Mexico city. Though a qualitative methodology, the paper explores labour, social and place-related reasons for immigrants to stay in Mexico.
