Abstract
This article analyses the transformations that the process of globalization entails for the context of union activity and the strategic and organizational challenges that these changes suppose for unions, in particular in what refers to the need to internationalize union activities. It analyses the traditional difficulties that unions and labour have experienced in the international field as well as the current union strategies in this area. Finally, the article signals possible ways to find new forms of international solidarity among workers in front of globalization.
