Abstract
The Scotist Antoni Andreu (Antonius Andreae, ca. 1280-1335) commented on the Metaphysics of Aristotle in a work called Scriptum super Metaphysicam Aristotelis, which comprises two: the Quaestiones or comment by modum quaestionum and the Expositio or literal commentary on the Aristotelian work. This article aims to analyze the textual complexity of the Andreu's commentary and presents, particularly, the Expositio and part of its textual and doctrinal background, i.e. the commentary on the Metaphysics of Thomas Aquinas.
