Abstract

Leptothorax mirabilis n. sp. is described with the three castes from samples from the Middle Atlas mountains of Morocco. This species, a morphological isolate among the genus, is tharacterised by the erect pilosily on the petiole and postpetiole, by the shape of these segments, and by the broad propodeal spines.
