Abstract

The study of the basis of the work of Mixed Juries from a gender perspective becomes a privileged observatory, at least theoretical, of female work and its stability in the labour market during the Second Spanish Republic. The gender relations within the historical labour legislation allow us to assess whether it has been able to act as a separation (men's jobs and women's jobs) or hierarchy mechanism (men's jobs are socially more valuable than women's).
