Abstract

An urgent intervention in the site of La Espina C (Tàrrega, Urgell) has allowed a large number of structures and material remains to be studied and documented systematically. These show the use of this place at different times in its history. Among the findings, special mention can be made of the archaeological data and materials from a large number of pits and pans of different typology and functionality that supply information about the occupation at least during the 3rd millennium BC. The wide interdisciplinary study carried out has made it possible to go into detail about the specific characteristics of the peoples who occupied the area, to date the oldest in the district documented extensively and in detail, and contribute to filling the void in knowledge about the early stages of the Recent Prehistory in this part of Catalonia
