Abstract
This article reviews the techniques and methodologies currently used for the detection and treatment of pig slurry, and specifically of nitrates, which are the main source of environmental contamination caused by pig manure. The authors demand joint efforts from all sectors in finding solutions to this problem in Catalonia.
