Abstract

This article aims to analyze the relationship between transitional justice and citizen participation towards achieving true justice with truth, reparation and guarantees of non-repetition. The article is developed in three chapters: a first part analyzes the relevant aspects of transitional justice at the international level (State responsibility and obligations); a second part studies the importance of the Comprehensive System of Truth, Justice, Reparation and Non-Repetition, looking at aspects such as its implementation in Colombia (novelties in restorative justice aimed at improving the system); Finally, a look is taken at the guarantees of non-repetition that are framed in the scenarios of citizen participation and the oversight developed within the framework of the peace and post-conflict agreement. It concludes with some reflections on transitional justice and citizen participation indicating that, even when the victims must be the center of justice, there are few guarantees for the exercise of participation scenarios created by law. This article is carried out under an analytical-systematic method where bibliographic and documentary sources are reviewed that allow the reader to have a clearer picture of the subject
