Abstract
© Copyright Aurora González Echevarría y Carmen J. García García, 2016. This text is structured in two parts. The first one is a discussion of recent developments in social and cultural anthropology that take into account evolutionary models of parenthood. It is the correlate of the article on biological approaches to human parenthood contained in this volume. The second part includes an interdisciplinary dialogue that addresses the interest of the two authors in the continuity or discontinuity between biology and culture in kinship and sex/gender systems and the possibilities for a cross-disciplinary approach to parenthood.
