Abstract
Since 1995 and every two years, the Institute of Geonics (Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic) organises the Moravian Geographical Conference where environment comes to be the main issue as a reference for every geographical speciality. These conferences are an excellent opportunity to link geography and geographers from both Eastern and Western Europe.
