Abstract

The straightforward modification of commercial hexafluorotitanic acid with organic derivatives containing a tetraalkylammonium cation produced stable precursor solutions with only a small fraction of water, which were then used as a reaction medium for the synthesis of nanocrystalline TiO2. © The Royal Society of Chemistry.
