Abstract

The article develops a new theoretical approach based on Guilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari's work, Rizome (1980/2015). Gezoma is proposed as a device that allows us to think gender in an expanded way and, at the same time, to debinarize language and binary bodies. The objective of gezoma is to provide a conceptual framework that makes sense of the subjective experiences of non-binary people. This perspective opens up conceptual imaginaries to genderless, n-gendered and non-gendered people. It considers the implications of Gezoma on the subjectivities of non-binary people, revealing new ways of conceptualizing the body, while showing lines of flights that enable expanded and inclusive languages of non-binary experiences. In this sense, the article constructs a processual and dynamic conceptual category, "doing gezoma", around the problematization of binary and fixed sexed identity.
