Abstract

Incidence of granulomatous hepatitis has been studied in 42 tuberculous patients. The cases have been divided in three groups following the clinical aspects of the disease : 12 cases of miliary tuberculosis (group 1), 14 cases of tuberculosis of an organ or system (group 2) and 7 cases of exclusively hepatic tuberculosis. The presence of granuloma in the liver has been found in 90,5 p. cent of patients in group 1 and in 57,1 p. cent of those in group 2. In group 3 all cases had granulomatous hepatitis. Clinical and biological repercussion of granulomatous hepatitis is not very significative and histological characteristics are not specific.
