Abstract
A straightforward method for loading a thiol cinchonine derivative onto the surface of gold nanoparticles is described. The material was found to be an effective heterogeneous catalyst in the asymmetric α-amination of β-ketoesters. © 2014 The Royal Society of Chemistry and the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique.
