Abstract
The possibility of a small gluonium piece in the f (1270) and/or f′ (1525)-mesons is discussed making use of well tested arguments and a wide set of well established experimental decay widths. Contrary to other authors, we are led to conclude that the conventional and ideally mixed nonet of q0071 tensor mesons explains (to the expected accuracy) the data, and there are no compelling reasons to introduce gg contaminations in f or f′. © 1985 Springer-Verlag.
