Abstract
This article outlines some of the research areas that study technological hazards from a geographical perspective. Geographical research emphasizes the elaboration of definition, classification and typology regarding technological hazards; the differences in hazard perception found among experts, institutions and lay persons, and above all, the territorial dimensions of technological hazards, in which inequalities in spatial distribution appear as the most relevant characteristic. -English summary
