Gain without inversion at two symmetrical sidebands of resonance in cold free 87Rb atoms: An experimental proposal

Abstract

The feasibility of obtaining inversionless gain at the sidebands of resonance in a cascade scheme was analysed. A sample of cold free 87Rb atoms and nearly three-level cascade scheme was proposed for the analysis. The sideband gain was also predicted for a 87Rb vapour cell of 3 cm length at room temperature.
