Abstract
From the resinous exudate of Heliotropium sinuatum eight flavonoids were isolated: 5,7,4′-trihydroxyflavanone (naringenin) 1, 5,3′,4′-trihydroxy-7-methoxyflavanone (7-O-methyleriodictyol) 2, 3-acetoxy-5,7-dihydroxyflavanone (pinobanksin-3-acetate) 3, 5,7-dihydroxyflavanone (pinocembrin) 4, 5,7,3′-trihydroxy-4′-methoxyflavanone (hesperetin) 5, 5,7-dihydroxy-3-methoxyflavone (3-O-methylgalangin) 6, 5,7,4′-trihydroxy-3-3′-dimethoxyflavone (3-O-methylisorbamnetin) 7 and 5,4′-dihydroxy-3,7,3′-trimethoxyflavone (pachypodol) B. Geranyl phenolic compounds were not found in the resinous exudate.
