Abstract
This paper aims to rethink the role of the first Catalan TV channel (TV3) to adapt the discursive representations of the cultural Catalan identity to the changing social, political and television contexts, through the analysis of one of its more popular serials: Ventdelplà. This television domestic drama is about everyday life in a Catalan town of the same name and constitutes a sort of metaphor of Catalanicity in all its narrative integrants: characters, spatial topics, temporal structures and themes.
