Exact solutions connecting radiation and matter eras using imperfect fluids

Abstract

Starting from a simple Ansatz for the equation of state, different solutions connecting the radiation and matter eras of a perfect fluid-filled universe and a universe possessing bulk dissipative stress are derived, as is the temperature evolution. The energy conditions are also analysed. No interchange of energy between radiation and matter is allowed.
