    Abstract

The antigun activities of three products against the strains most frequently isolated in microbial studies undertaken in archives in the Mediterranean area were evaluated. Three fungicides were submitted to the tests: P1, P2 and P3, the first two being commercial products that registered as being able to affect microorganisms' development and P3 was a water:alcohol mixture 30:70. P3 was found effective against the development of the assayed molds from the first 24 hours of contact and remained effective during the 60 days of the study. P1 and P2 were found to be effective at different levels, but their activity decreased over time.
