Abstract
This article contains a theoretical revision of the concept of self-regulation in learning, given the growing importance this concept has taken within the educational environment in recent years. The article will also deal with the various definitions being used in this respect. The interest shown in this analysis is justified by the need to support a methodology that allows us to evaluate the process of self-regulation in learning situations designed on the model of authentic learning. For this reason, we will finally present some general considerations that could inform methodological decisions on what and how to evaluate in relation to the process of self-regulation in students’ learning.
