Vanderlande currently holds the exploitation rights: https://www.vanderlande.com/systems/security-screening/. It is an invention resulting from the use of state space analysis tools by means of quantitative simulation methods for the design of disturbance mitigation mechanisms that drastically improves the passenger throughput at security filters. The first four prototypes were installed at the PMI airport in 2012, and the system's performance was increased by more than 150%. In 2015 new units were installed at the Brussels airport. The new system has proved to be very robust and allows the airport not only to improve the quality factors to the passenger, but also to increase the predictability of the operations and its programming, resulting in a reduction in the operating costs per passenger.
