N2 - This paper is devoted to the study of the entropy flux within the formalism of extended irreversible thermodynamics and to a problem concerning the relation between the entropy flux and the absolute temperature. The new terms which must be added to the classical expression due to the extension of the space of variables, which now includes not only the conserved ones but also their corresponding fluxes, are discussed on the basis of information theory. © 1995, Walter de Gruyter.
