Abstract
In this paper we account for the influence of education on the origin-destination relationship of the occupational class in the context of intergenerational mobility, paying special attention to higher education. The aim is to investigate the ODE relationships (Origin, Destination, Education) over time (Cohorts) documented in the international literature, applying it to the Argentine and Spanish case in comparative terms. The hypothesis that guides the research is that the influence of education (E) would have weakened the OD association and that this would be especially marked in the presence of higher education and in women. The methodology used is contingency tables, binary logistic regression and factorial analysis (Multiple Correspondence Analysis and Cluster Analysis) in order to introduce elements of innovation in the presentation of results.
