Abstract
This special issue includes seven contributions about the intersection of semiotics and cognitive sciences, the reading of the body by C.S. Peirce. the importance of the body in the construction of the genre, including its physical and digital spheres, and corporality as a constitutive element of theater. They come to conform an example of the applicability of semiotics to various areas of the contemporaneity, at the same time that some approaches are made in theoretical questions that come to demonstrate the operability of this discipline in the XXI century.
