Abstract

Objective: To determine the effectiveness of Dicke’s massage on pain and severity of primary spasmodic dysmenorrhea. Material and methods: quasi-experimental study. Sample of 20 women with primary spasmodic dysmenorrhea. The variables studied are pain intensity visual analogue scale and severity of dysmenorrhea with Andersch and Milson’s scale. Treatment consisted on of 12 sessions base construction. Results: a significant improvement (p <0.004) in pain intensity and less severity are observed. Conclusion: it is necessary more randomized studies with a larger sample and new longterm rating.
