Abstract
This study remarks the influence of Gallician economist Joaquín Díaz de Rábago in the agricultural credit project of Eugenio Montero Ríos in 1886, one of the most ambitious propositions in the 19th century, and a lost chance to modernise Spanish agriculture. Through analysis of the content in documents, it will prove and demonstrate that the politician's ideas belonged to the author of El Crédito Agrícola (1883). © SEHA.
