Abstract
The idea that fosters this book is that a simple translation of the legal terms used in European and Islamic countries does not convey the ideas of what these terms refer to in a proper way nor it puts in the limelight the cultural context from which these terms stem and their historical background. This research addresses therefore to scholars researchers but also politicians and diplomats and is organized in three different volumes. In the first volume the scientific committee has decided to analyze basic concepts like: Sovereignty / Democracy / Constitution / Fundamental rights / Authority / Governance.
