Abstract
In Teotihuacan anthropomorphic lithosculpture, most of the specimens are nude and asexual. When trying to define gender, we do not have many elements, since expressionless and depersonalized facial features, as well as anatomically poorly differentiated bodies, are not diagnostic features of gender. In the case of Teotihuacan anthropomorphic sculpture, clothing is an aspect that contributes to elucidate the gender of sculptures. In this article we propose a review of the clothing, hairstyles and headdresses of Teotihuacan anthropomorphic lithosculptures in order to define their degree of intervention in gender assignment.
