Abstract
Were women working in the 18th century Spain, before censuses of the population existed? Thanks to this research, it has been discovered that a large percentage of women worked in manufacturing (especially in textiles) and in domestic service, which has changed the existing narrative of the economy of the past and the occupational structure of 18th century Spain.
