Abstract

Two spin polarized‐band structures of Eu2O2 with and without considering Coulomb correlation effects are calculated. The exchange potential depending on the fractional spin direction Vex(r), locates the 4f bands below the 2p ones, avoiding the 2p‐4f mixing.
