Abstract

© Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2017. In WWTPs, the large number of variables, their intricate interrelation and the strong fluctuations of the influent make the control very complex. Therefore, advanced control techniques are proposed in this book for a successful control in WWTPs: MPC, FC, and ANN. These controllers are briefly described in this chapter.
