Abstract
A matter frequently discussed is the dialecties: continuity versus discontinuity in eating disorders. In this review we have examined those surveys who provide some evidence in a sanse or in the other one. There are variables that verify lineal differences among normal controls, chronic dieters, subclinical cases and bulimic patients. However, in other variables this is not clear. It needs more longitudinal studies that shows those variables discriminating between dieters that develops an eating disorder from those that not.
