Abstract
The alkylation of β-dicarbonyl compounds with several benzyl halides in chloroform and in the presence of potassium carbonate is accelerated by the presence of cobalt(II) chloride bistriphenylphosphine, thus broadening the scope of this alkylation method. © 1988.
