Cartas de José F. Montesinos a Vicente Llorens (1940-1967)

This paper presents the edition of thirty-one letters sent by José F. Montesinos to Vicente Llorens between 1940 and 1967 that are in Archivo Vicente Llorens Castillo of Biblioteca Valenciana Nicolau Primitiu. These letters are testimony of the origin and development of their own philological undertaking dedicated to the history of nineteenth-century Spanish literature written in exile. The letters show the collaboration of both scholars and the consolidation of their friendship, and illustrate their reciprocal encouragement and satisfaction and joy for the successes of each other. They also show their personal reflection on their status as exiles.
