Abstract

In summary, this study showed that detection of M hyopneumoniae in the upper respiratory sites correlates with its detection in the bronchi; the three respiratory sites are good indicators of the presence of microscopic lung lesions of EP, although bronchial and nasal swabs are the best choices, and that the more respiratory sites are found to be nPCR-positive, the higher the association with the presence of microscopic lung lesions of EP.
