    Abstract

    Simple triazamacrocyclic ligands react with copper(II) salts under mild conditions to give the products of intramolecular aryl C-H activation and metal disproportionation [Eq. (1)]. The novel organometallic CuIII complexes thus formed are stable under protic conditions.
