Abstract
Based on analysis of the characteristics of the warrior culture that determine its interculturality, this study presents some examples taken from the history and different spheres of the samurai culture: the early interaction between the warriors and the Emishi culture, their interest in the art of Renga, their influence on the formation of the Nō theatre through recovery and synthesis of various manifestations of popular art, and finally, the interaction between Nō and the art of Kendō, through the cultural exchange between the actors and the masters of the Yagyū school of fencing.
