Abstract
The study analyses the impact of peer feedback on the development of cognitive,
metacognitive, affective and social competences of students enrolled in a first-year
subject at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
The experience has been analysed through a survey study applied to a sample of 425
students. The participants felt that giving and receiving feedback helped them improve
their assignments, better understand the assessment criteria and improve their self-
assessment and peer-assessment competences.
