N2 - The information generated in the EuroMediterranean area is increasingly important, not only for what has been known as Arab Spring but also for the effort previously made by different forums, such as the Barcelona Process Union for the Mediterranean, the European Neighbourhood Policy and the recommendations of the Report of the High Level Group of the Alliance of Civilizations. This article analyses the focus and subjects of the information offered by the main newscast of eight public TV channels: ENTV (Algeria), ERTU (Egypt), France 2 (France), BBC One (UK), RAI 1 (Italy), SNRT Al Aoula (Morocco), Syria Channel (Syria), TVE 1 (Spain). The research considered 371 units of analysis that were collected between 9 and 22 March 2009.
