Abstract

The Simplex method to simultaneously identify and quantify the components of complex mixtures from their UV-visible spectra is used. Calibration was performed by using a data base containing the spectra of the pure components potentially present. The method for selection of components from the data base was developed on the basis of binary mixtures of dyes and was subsequently applied to the resolution of binary, ternary and quaternary mixtures of active principles in pharmaceutical formulations.” Author to whom all correspondence should be addressed. © 1992, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
