Abstract

Heart of carbon: The first stable asymmetric bis(ylide), N,N'-(iPr 2NCH2CH2NiPr) (Ph) P-C-SPh2, has been isolated (see picture; C black, N gray). The presence of the two different ligands causes this carbon (0) complex to behave as an asymmetric atomic carbon source. (Figure Presented) © 2010 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
